Sara’s Guest House Annual Gala

The Ladies of Bookclub continue to support Sarah’s Guest House with their time and donations. This organization provides lodging, transportation, meals and comfort to patients and families of patients receiving medical care in Central New York. Their annual Gala was on April 11 at the Turning Stone and while funds were raised the stress of life was lowered as all drank & danced their way into the night.

McMahon Ryan Center Holiday Angel Program

The Angel Program is provided to children and families identified as “most in need” who are struggling through difficult circumstances and may not have holiday gifts without the generosity of others.

SRBC sponsored 25 children from nine families and ranged in age from toddler to teenager.   A few wonderful items of note this year were: an infant car seat, air pods, a Barbie dream house, and a hoverboard.  In addition, many of the children received a winter coat, warm clothing, and shoes/boots.  We also collected enough pillows, linens, and towels to run a small B&B as well as nearly $1000 in gift cards.  Many of these families have very little and are struggling through difficult circumstances, so our gifts will make a positive impact on their situations. 

Food Pantry Donation

Thank YOU to our members for your incredible generosity. The Director was so thankful for all the food that got dropped off this morning. The FM Pantry has seen an increase in need over this past year. These generous donations will help the pantry feed many in our FM community.
